The Association for Communities Participatory Development  is the implementing partner of the International Organization for Migration (IOM Ukraine) for the project “Way to Protection and Durable Solutions”, funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

What is unique about this project?

  • Building the work on the principles of participatory democracy and involving diverse groups of residents in decision-making processes.
  • Partnering with local authorities, civil society organisations, and various population groups.
  • Creating an inclusive environment for people of different ages, genders, experiences, and statuses.
  • Focusing on protection, safety, and the sustainable development of communities in response to the challenges of war.

Partner communities

The project is being implemented in 24 communities:

  • Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: Verkhivtsevska, Verkhnodniprovska, Novopokrovska, Petrykivska, Pokrovska, Solonianska, Ternivska, Troitska, and Chernechchynska communities. 
  • Kyiv Oblast: Bilohorodska, Hrebinkivska, and Tetiivska communities.
  • Kharkiv Oblast: Blyzniukivska, Valkivska, Krasnokutska, Natalynska, Rohanska, Savynska, Solonytsivska, and Chuhuivska communities.
  • Chernihiv Oblast: Bereznianska, Ivanivska, Kyselivska, and Kholmy communities.

Objectives:

  • To engage communities in making important decisions.
  • To strengthen social ties and mutual support.
  •  To create an inclusive environment where everyone has a voice.
  • To provide knowledge and tools for building sustainable solutions in the areas of protection, safety, and development.
