General Assembly of the Association: Discussions on Strategies, Achievements, and Future Plans
On March 13-14, 2025, the General Assembly of the Association for Communities Participatory Development brought together representatives from 14 member communities, as well as international partners, including Ms. Iryna Ishchenko and Anastasiia Veritova from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Ms. Kateryna Virchenko and Viktoriia Vasylenko from the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), and Mr. Nick Deychakiwsky from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.
🔸 On the first day, participants reviewed the Association’s activities in 2024, presented success stories, and discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between communities. International partners shared their expertise and expressed support for further development initiatives.
🔸 The second day focused on planning the Association’s activities for 2025. Communities worked on strategies to enhance their capacity, attract new members, and expand program activities.
As a result of the discussions, key areas of work for the coming year were defined to help communities develop effectively and implement joint projects, including:
- Attracting new communities to the Association
- Conducting training sessions for member communities
- Providing mentorship support for communities
- Facilitating experience sharing and best practices among member communities
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our partners, participants, and the Association’s Board. Our past and present shape the future we are building together for the Association. We have come a long way—from an initiative group to implementing large-scale social projects, and this experience has laid the foundation for our work. The war has united us while also crystallizing our areas of focus. Today, we have a clear understanding of who we are and the role we play. Our uniqueness lies in the fact that, as a local association, we work with communities across multiple regions, expanding our geography and partnerships. We are a resilient organization that grows through engagement and value-based approaches. And ahead—an even greater impact. We are expanding our horizons: preparing for an international forum, attracting new partners and international organizations, broadening our work with communities, organizing training programs, and launching new initiatives. Community recovery and engagement in this process remain one of our key priorities. We are growing, strengthening, and, most importantly, moving forward!

Місцева асоціація органів місцевого самоврядування "Асоціація учасницького розвитку громад” запрошує зацікавлених сторін до участі в конкурсі на закупівлю послуг в межах проєкту “Посилення участі ВПО через підвищення спроможності Рад ВПО у чотирьох громадах Сумської та Харківської областей”. Цей проєкт відбувається за підтримки Програми «Партнерство за сильну Україну», яку фінансують уряди Великої Британії, Естонії, Канади, Норвегії, Фінляндії, Швейцарії та Швеції.
Вісім локальних ОГС із чотирьох областей України пройшли навчання з організаційного розвитку
У межах проєкту «Шлях до захисту та сталих рішень» Асоціація учасницького розвитку громад провела семиденну програму з посилення організаційної спроможності для восьми локальних організацій громадянського суспільства з Дніпропетровської, Київської, Харківської та Чернігівської областей.
