Our team participated in the International Forum for Democracy in Caux
Our team had the honor of participating in the International Forum for Democracy in Caux (Switzerland) — a unique space that every year brings together people from all over the world around key issues: how to build democracy, how to restore trust, how to maintain peace.
This year's theme — "Trust as a tool of democracy" — is especially close to us. Because for Ukraine, trust is not just an abstraction. It is a resource that is formed every day by people on the ground, in communities, in situations where stability is destroyed, and the future is uncertain.
In our speech at the plenary discussion, we talked about how the restoration of Ukraine begins with simple things — with trust in oneself, in others, in joint decisions. Trust does not arise by itself — "It is a process. It is a choice. And it is a responsibility."
We talked about:
- Our communities and people who, in times of war, find the strength to remain human, unite, and act
- About the practices we implement in communities every day
- About how sometimes one sincere question and an open conversation launch complex but necessary processes of change
- How this daily work with people becomes part of the great mosaic of Ukraine's democratic restoration
This forum is not just a platform for speeches, but a space for sincere, deep conversations. Here you feel that Ukraine is not alone. That the challenges we face resonate in the hearts of people from different countries. And that together we can truly build a world where democracy means trust, participation, and responsibility.
We thank all participants of the forum for their solidarity, support, and openness to the Ukrainian experience. Special thanks to the partners of the Caux Initiatives of Change Foundation for creating a space where you can not only speak, but also be heard🧡
